In the China market, B2C and C2C online shopping totaled CNY754.2 billion (US$122 billion) in first-half 2013, hiking 47.3% on year, according to China e-Business Research Center (CBRC).
CBRC estimates the transaction value for the entire 2013 at CNY1.741 trillion.
There were 277 million B2C and C2C accounts at the end of June 2013, and the number will increase to 350 million, CBRC noted.
Tmall was the largest B2C web portal accounting for 50.4% of the first-half 2013 transaction value, followed by 360 buy (20.7%) and Suning (5.7%). Among C2C web portals, Taobao dominated the market with a share of 95.1%; PaiPai was second (4.7%) and EachNet third (0.2%).
