French carmaker Renault has unveiled the new Alpine A110-50 concept sports car to mark the 50th anniversary of the company's Alpine Berlinette sports car this year.
The new sports concept, developed by Renault Sport Technologies, is powered by a 3.5litre 24-valve V6 engine which generates an output of 400hp and 422Nm torque.
The new sportscar concept's engine is mounted in a mid-rear part of the concept vehile.
French carmaker said that the engine is mated to a semi-automatic six-speed sequential gearbox, in addition to a twin-plate clutch which can be managed using either the clutch pedal or a paddle on the steering wheel.
Furthermore, the two-seater Renault Alpine A110-50 will use carbon air intake, which the company claims will enhance the engine's power band by offering additional horsepower at all engine speeds.
The concept is also installed with Wintax software which will assist in analysing all the data collected by the model including engine speed, gear, steering angle, car speed, throttle position, brake pressure, further facilitating drivers and engineers to enhance settings and driving style.
