Pharmacy automation equipment manufacturer RxMedic has introduced its new robotic dispensing machine, dubbed as RM64, designed to fill five prescriptions per minute, representing up to 300 prescriptions an hour.
Fitted with unique photo verification system to eliminate the threat of manual errors and cross-contamination risk, the new dispensing system is able to count any pill size or shape with speed and accuracy, claims RxMedic.
Having user-friendly design, M64 is equipped with 64 particular cells, which allows filling of multiple prescriptions simultaneously.
Suitable for both large and small pharmacies, the robotic dispensing platform also has a new touch-screen layout, which takes only three keystrokes to restock and change the cells on-site quickly and easily.
Featuring an intuitive user interface and a unique carousel collating area, the robot is capable of quickly retrieving prescription, accurate sorting of filled prescriptions that can be easily located.
High volume workflow is managed quickly and accurately, boosting productivity and safety, while increased productivity enables pharmacists to increase their prescription volume.
