General Motors India has launched the new upgraded model for the automatic version of the Chevrolet Captiva SUV.
According to the carmaker, the new 2013 Captiva SUV will be offered in three variants which include two vehicles with manual transmission and one with automatic transmission.
Base model of the new SUV will be powered by a 2.0 litre diesel engine offered with manual and the Xtreme variant will be powered by 2.0 MT engine.
The top AWD model of the new SUV will be powered by 2.2litre engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, which produces 186.5bhp at 3800rpm and 424Nm torque at 2000rpm.
The Captiva features a four-link independent rear suspension system and MacPherson struts up front, in addition to a level ride suspension system, which will automatically maintain required ride height under varying load conditions.
GM said that the Captiva 2.0 MT SUV is offered at a price of $32, 782 (INR 1, 874, 062), Captiva 2.0 Xtreme is available at a price of $34 082 (INR 1,948,347) and Captiva 2.2 AT AWD at $43 015 (INR 2,459,000).
