US-based printing equipment manufacturer Primera Technology has introduced its new AP550e Flat-Surface Label Applicator.
The semi-automatic AP550e makes it easy to apply product and identification labels precisely onto a range of flat surfaces such as rectangular or tapered bottles, boxes, packages, bags, pouches, lids and tins.
Labels can be applied straight, without wrinkles or folds, in the desired location, increasing the number of containers that can be labeled per hour versus manually applying labels, considerably.
Primera vice president of sales and marketing Mark Strobel said the easy-to-use AP550e Label Applicator device helps its customers increase their production rates.
"With AP550e, labels are applied straight and in precisely the same place on every package," Strobel added.
According to the company, roll or fan-fed labels printed by other methods such as flexographic, offset and thermal transfer can also be applied with the new applicator.
Primera offers its AP360e and AP362e Label Applicators for round containers such as bottles, cans and jars.
