Re.Verso Will Display a Collection of Innovative Eco-Centric Fabrics

Italian Re.Verso will display a collection of innovative eco-centric fabrics that are 100% Made in Italy and also 100% traceable at the upcoming Premiere Vision salon in Paris beginning from September 16, 2014.

These eco-friendly fabrics are a result of dedicating two years to development of the concept and processes by three companies namely; Gucci, C.L.A.S.S. and Re.Verso itself.

Together they have worked diligently to leverage the advantage that a new and unique supply chain can achieve in delivering more innovative yet responsible fashion materials.

C.L.A.S.S. manufactures sustainable fabrics, while Gucci, one of the worlds’ leading luxury brands joined hands with Re.Verso to produce cashmere fabrics made from waste fabrics, mainly wool.

Gucci used this material for its AW15/16 men women and children collections. The Re.Verso product also bagged the Kering Sustainability Award.

Re.Verso is a new textile platform made up of a group of three top Italian mills, Nuova Fratelli Boretti, Green Line and Lanificio Stelloni.

Re.Verso products are unique in their look and feel, are fully traceable throughout its whole supply chain and 100% ‘Made in Italy’.

The Re.Verso program begins with collecting pre-consumer textile selected waste, not limited to mainly wool, then converting it into fibre through a mechanical process, which is then spun in to yarns.

These yarns are then converted into knitted and woven fashion fabrics and in turn in to finished garments in a fully traceable and transparent medium of production process. (AR)
