British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin is planning to debut its Vanquish sports car at the upcoming Monterey automotive week in California, to be held from 15-19 August 2012.
The new sports car is powered by a 6.0 litre V12 petrol engine, mated to the Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic gearbox, which will generate an output of 565bhp with a peak torque of 620Nm.
According to the British carmaker, the new sports car can sprint from 0-62 mph in 4.1 seconds, while offering a top speed of 183mph.
The new super car features a three-stage adjustable suspension which offers modes ranging from Normal to Sport to Track while other systems include dynamic stability control (DSC) and positive torque control (PTC) which avoids the locking up of rear wheels during engine braking.
Being offered as a 2+2 or 2+0 seated variant, the Vanquish sports car will be priced at $279,995 for basic model.
Vanquish sports car is scheculed to go on sale across the Americas in early 2013.
