Early this morning, one Internet user typed out weibo about the results of Maotai's plasticizer test in America. It shows that the content of DEHP in Maotai goes beyond the standard over 60%.
The blog shows that this Internet user sent three bottles of Maotai to test. The DEHP content of two 53-year maotai is 1mg/L and 2.6mg/L; and the content of another 30-year one is 0.499mg/L.
According to the standard about amount of agent phthalic acid ester from food additive in food, the content of DEHP can't be more than 1.68mg/L. One of the maotai exceeds its proposed DEHP maximum contaminant level in 60%.
This Internet user also said that there is no rules and regulations about the DEHP content in alcohols in the USA.
