US's Steel Imports Drop in November After Hitting The Highest Level of 2013 in October

According to data released by the US Census Bureau, the country’s steel imports drop in November after hitting the highest level of 2013 in October.

The imports of carbon, alloy and stainless steel totaled 2.34 million tons in November, decreasing by 17% from a month ago.

In November, the imports of semi-finished steel products totaled 612,795 tons, decreasing by 18% from October.

Meanwhile, the imports of steel flat products also dropped. The imports of hot-dipped galvanized steel sheets and narrow strips decreased by 39%; those of hot rolled and cold rolled steel products fell by 10%.

Besides, the imports of OCTG totaled 265,631 tons, falling from 361,372 tons; those of hot rolled bars decreased by 30%.
