Dragon Steel, the subsidiary company of Taiwan's China Steel Corp., has announced to hike its square billet for Taiwan domestic market recently by NT$200/ton. After price rise, Dragon Steel's new price for rebar usage high tension with vanadium add billet will be NT$17,450/ton but its new H beam prices remain flat. Dragon Steel said the rising scrap and rebar prices in November are the major factor for the company to increase their new price. The current market price for high tension with vanadium add billet is about NT$16,300~NT$16,500/ton and it seems Dragon Steel's new price is higher than the market price. However, Dragon Steel's actual selling price in basically closed to the market price level after the discount.
