The International Floor Covering Trade Is Gearing up for The Largest Event in Its Calender

The international floor covering trade is gearing up for the largest event in its calender – Domotex 2012 – with leading solid wood, engineered and laminate floor manufacturers among those exhibiting. The Hannover show on January 14-17 will see two halls (Halls 8 & 9 of Hannover Messe) given over to wood, parquet, engineered timber and laminate flooring, as well as an inaugural Wood Flooring Summit, which show organiser Deutsche Messe says is shaping up to be a who’s who of the international laminate and parquet flooring industry. “All the market leaders are coming to Hannover to present their latest product developments, ” said Deutsche Messe management board member Dr Andreas Gruchow. “The Wood Flooring Summit is about more than just basic product presentations. Many companies will also give hands-on demonstrations to show how their products perform in practice. ” Leading manufacturers attending include Amorim, Barlinek, Bauwerk, Berry Floor, Classen, Egger, Faus, Hamberger, Kaindl, Kährs, Kronotex, Margaritelli, MeisterWerke, Parador, Spanolux/Balterio, Tarkett and Unilin/QuickStep. Wood coatings/finishes manufacturers will also be exhibiting. Decision makers from wholesale and retail companies, the timber trade, the contract furnishing sector and the skilled trades are expected at the summit for a comprehensive and targeted update of all the latest products and trends. Domotex has also this year recognised the rising demand for outdoor flooring, with Hall 8 featuring a diverse array of decking and other outdoor products for balconies, terraces and gardens.
