On May 16, the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) announced that in early May (May 1-10) this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China - all CISA members - totaled 1.824 million mt, up 1.6 percent compared to late April (Apr. 21-30).
According to the CISA's previous figures, in late April this year the average aggregate daily crude steel output of large and medium-sized steel enterprises in China had amounted to 1.7959 million mt, up 2.66 percent from mid-April (Apr. 11-20).
Meanwhile, as of May 10, 2014, overall inventory of the main finished steel products in the major steel markets in China totaled 14.298 million mt, down 0.3 percent as compared to the figure recorded on April 30.
