Cardia Bioplastics has expanded its patent portfolio with 19 granted patents apart from 42 more pending registrations for its bioplastics technology.
The company has also secured seven new Cardia Compostable, Biohybrid and PPC-starch technology patents in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and China in 2014.
About seven new patents have been granted to the company for its bioplastics resin formulations and production processes.
With these new patents, Cardia Bioplastics has expanded its intellectual property portfolio of 11 patent families, with 19 patents so far granted in USA, Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand and South Africa.
The patents will help to protect the composition formulation and manufacturing process that has been invented by Cardia's R&D team.
