Continental Strictly Kosher Meat,Poultry&Delicatessen Products,an establishment based in Quebec,Canada,is voluntarily recalling ground beef and ground veal products as they may be contaminated with E.coli O157:H7.
According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency(CFIA),the following Glatt's brand products are affected by this alert:Lean ground veal,Lean ground beef,Medium ground beef,and Medium ground beef Club Pack.
These Glatt's products were sold at various weights at the following retail locations in Quebec:IGA#8111;Kosher Quality Bakery;IGA#108;Alimentation Marcel Picard;and IGA#8522.
Consumers who are ensure if they have the affected beef products stored in their refrigerator have been have been advised to contact the retailers.There have been no confirmed illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
Food contaminated with E.coli O157:H7 may not look or smell spoiled.However,consumption of food contaminated with these bacteria may cause serious and potentially life-threatening illnesses.
