The Firm Will Be Following This up in 2013 with Yet Further Investments

The firm did not specify how much cash it would invest into the plant but said that it hopes its investment in the plant and machinery would help to boost production at the site.

Group chief executive Nigel Pritchard said: "This investment follows on the heels of our initial investment plan from the second half of 2012, and we will be following this up in 2013 with yet further investments.

"This is an exciting time in our development and the investment in the latest technology is a demonstration of our confidence in our Lidkoping business."

He also said that the equipment "will enable the Petainer Group to apply the latest green methodologies and will support our?current product portfolio and expansion".

Director group sales and marketing Philip Sanner added: "The timing for sophisticated, technology based investments is the right one. The Group will continue to develop its local markets and grow its operations, into other geographies."
