Battery Ventures Sets up Test Group with Data Physics

Battery Ventures, which last year bought testtest is test and measurement company Data Physics, has bought two other companies in ithe industry — Monterey-based Lansmont Corp. and Burlington, Washington-based Team Corp.

Battery bought control of San Jose-based Data Physics last year and said the two companies it would form a platform with the three businesses that focuses testtest is test-and-measurement of noise and vibration.

No financial details of the deals were disclosed.

Founded in 1971, Lansmont makes products that measure real-world dynamics and simulate them in the laboratory. Team was founded in 1954 and makes high-performance, vibration-testing systems and related components.

"The combination of Lansmont and Team with Data Physics will enable us to accelerate new product development, deepen our technical expertise, expand our geographic presence and broaden our product and service offerings," Data Physics CEO Louis Pace said in a press release.

Jesse Feldman, general partner at Battery, also said in the release, "After closing our Data Physics acquisition in February, it is exciting to make such quick progress in expanding our product portfolio with both Lansmont and Team.".
