The Jamie Drake for Theodore Alexander collection will include about 50 bedroom and living room pieces and will be displayed in a 2,000-square-foot presentation designed by Drake in the company's showroom at 229 W. Russell Ave.
"Theodore Alexander is elated to work with someone as discerning and respected as Jamie Drake, and whose work is so globally relevant," said company President Russell Towner. "With Jamie's masterful use of color, this collection embodies modern elements true to his core design sensibilities, which are relevant to designers and consumers today."
Materials for the new collection include mahogany, leather, hammered brass, mother of pearl, stone and cerused finishes. Signature pieces include an upholstered headboard banded in mother of pearl and fully upholstered chairs and sofas.
Towner describes the collection as "fabric-centric," saying that Drake's expertise with textiles, patterns, colors and textures are evident.
Drake has received numerous recognitions throughout his career, including induction into the ASID College of Fellows, Interior Design Magazine's Interior Design Hall of Fame, the IFDA New York Circle of Excellence for Interior Design and the Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year.
"From the moment I first walked into Theodore Alexander's showroom I felt at home," Drake said. "The superb quality and ravishing finishes are unparalleled. I'm excited to work with a company with such diverse capabilities who can realize whatever I dream!"
