Hitachi's New LED Lamp Launches Market as Substitute of Small Krypton Bulb

According to reports, Hitachi Appliances, Inc., a division specializing in the production of lighting, appliances, air-conditioning equipments of Hitachi Group, put its new LED lamp "LDA7D-H-E17 / S (pure white)" on sale on August 1. The product is designed in the equal size of the mini krypton bulb (small incandescent bulb) and comes with self-developed cooling structure. It provides the same quantity of light as 60W small bulb. In addition, it can be installed on a variety of lamps.

Mini krypton bulbs are usually used for the small-scale ceiling lighting devices like downlights. 60-watt bulbs take up 40% of them, the market demand for small LED bulbs as alternatives of 60-watt bulbs is great, and so Hitachi Appliances developed this new product. LDA7D-H-E17/S is in the diameter of 35 mm and a length of 67 mm, its dimension is the same as that of mini krypton bulb, the neck is fine, and therefore, it can be installed into the fixtures suitable for mini krypton bulbs.

This new LED lamp adopts self-developed cooling structure, achieving 760 lumens equivalent to a compact 60-watt bulb. Its power consumption is reduced to 7.0 watts through the use of high-efficiency LED chip and improving the efficiency of the power supply circuit. Its average luminous efficacy is up to 108.6 lumens per watt.

On the same day, Hitachi Appliances also listed "LDA7L-H-E17 / S (warm white) in the same appearance of "LDA7D-H-E17 / S (pure white)" and the equivalent brightness (600 lumens) to small 50-watt bulbs. Hitachi Appliances originally planned to totally produce the two products at the amount of 15000 units monthly.
