Dongfeng Nissan Will Recall Nearly 11,277 Nissan Teana Sedans Over Defective Sensors

Dongfeng Nissan, the Nissan’s Chinese joint venture with Dongfeng Motor will recall nearly 11,277 Nissan Teana sedans over defective sensors in their QR20 engines.

According to China's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, the vehicles manufactured between late June 2005 and late April 2008 are affected by the recall.

The faulty sensors in the QR20 engines may crack under high temperatures, causing defects in fault warning lights or vehicle acceleration posing high safety risk.

According to the carmaker, the recall will begin from 22 August 2012 and the engines of affected vehicles will be inspected and repaired.

Nissan is also planning to recall its 360 imported Civilian passenger buses sold in China, over faulty front air deflector issue.

The recalled effects the buses manufactured between 28 November 2005 and 30 September 30th 2010.
