South Africa-based Africa Stereos has chosen a new Screen PlateRite FX1524 platesetter, installed and commissioned by Kemtek Print Solutions.
Africa Stereos MD Sean Drake said the new Screen PlateRite system gives them more leverage in the market, providing them with new opportunities for growth.
"It's specifically designed for label production, flexible packaging, cartons, and corrugated packaging, which suits our business model perfectly. Our customers are already realising the benefits of its superior platesetting features," Drake said.
The Screen PlateRite FX1524 in its standard configuration supports a resolution of 4,800dpi and plate sizes up to 1067 x 1524mm, which can be loaded onto the drum with ease.
Its light source is a multi-channel laser diode, which is claimed to have a long-life, with high-powered laser that images the black mask layer of resin plates.
Kemtek Print Solutions is a supplier of raw materials and equipment to the printing industry in Southern Africa since 1996.
