According to the newest production and sales data CAMM released, in this first quarter, light-duty trucks (including LFN) were produced 392 thousand units, down by 7.2% year-on-year, and that were sold 391.4 thousand units, down by 3.36% over the same period of last year. Whether it is compared with the same period last year or last whole year's market performance, the decline in sales of light trucks have narrowed.
Compared to light trucks sales down, micro trucks sales become recovery from the end of last year. Until to this first quarter, the sale of micro trucks is 149.3 thousand units, up by 14.33% year-on-year, and the increase is over last year's overall level.
In the first quarter of this year, there has been a new change in light and micro trucks market. Pure electric light trucks, micro trucks sales began to grow, including pure electric light truck sales of 2,521 units and pure electric micro truck sales of 1,975 units.
