More efficient than trees, the microalgae caught the attention of the French biochemist Pierre Calleja who has invented a self-powered microalgae lamp that absorbs CO2 and is powered without electricity.
These amazing planet saving features are tanks filled with water and microalgae that convert sunlight and carbon dioxide storing the energy in tank's batteries. At night, the batteries power the lights creating real green lanterns.
Each lamp is absorbing an estimated ton of CO2 emissions per year, a reported 150 to 200 times from CO2 than a tree.
