Rexam Healthcare, a subsidiary of the UK group Rexam, has expanded its production facility at Seine Maritime, France.
The French unit has been expanded to a total area of 5,200m2, which includes a production building of 3,750m2 along with a clean room of 2,900m2, and a 1,500m2 area for machine and mould maintenance workshops, metrology unit, laboratory and administrative offices.
The expansion project is estimated to be over $26.28m (€20m).
Clean room is expected to open in November 2013 and full inauguration of the site is scheduled for early 2014.
This plant specialises in drug delivery systems and recently launched the Advancia pump, the design and development of which was co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund in Normandy.
