Saint-Gobain Glass India recently supplied Nano and COOL-LITE, two advanced high performance glass to the world’s tallest hotel JW Marriott Marquis, in Dubai.
These two glasses were suggested as a double glazing solution for the hotel’s facade design.
Architect ARHGROUP recommended Nano and COOL-LITE for the facades of this landmark building. Of the two high performance glass, Nano was used for the vision glass and COOL-LITE was used for the spandrel (parts of the exterior wall between the floor and the window sill).
SGG Nano and SGG COOL-LITE are high performance solar control glasses which contribute significantly to the energy efficiency and thermal insulation of buildings.
SGG Cool-lite provides good solar control for the building and was chosen for the spandrel. SGG Nano was an ideal choice for the vision glass. It provides combination of solar control and thermal insulation, thus maintaining an ambient temperature throughout the day.
The colour Nano Misty Blue was chosen for J W Marriott because it has a light transmission of 35%, thus creating soothing interior ambience by transmitting just the right amount of light.
Nano also has a very low internal reflection which adds tremendous aesthetic value. Occupants of a high-rise will thus be able to enjoy the beautiful view of the exteriors from a high altitude.
