Canada Voluntarily Recalls Its Own Brand Sub PAC Classic and Sliced Pepperoni Products

Piller's Fine Foods of Ontario,Canada,is voluntarily recalling its own brand Sub Pac Classic and Sliced Pepperoni products as they contain wheat that is not mentioned on the label,according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency(CFIA).

The Piller's brand luncheon meat products being recalled include Pepperoni Sliced of 6*500g size,and Sub Pac Classic(Pepperoni,Luncheon Meat,Smoked Ham)of 250g and 400g size bearing UPC codes 0 69401 04605 5,0 69401 03613 1 and 0 78427 03605 6 respectively.

These products were distributed in British Columbia,Alberta,Saskatchewan,Manitoba,Ontario and Quebec.However,they might have been distributed in other provinces as well.

There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of the recalled products.

CFIA advised consumers intolerant to wheat not to consume these products as it may result in serious or life threatening reaction.
