Hankook Tire America Corp. is recalling certain Dynapro MT LT325/60R18 RT03 tires manufactured Aug. 22, 2011, through Sept. 22, 2013.
The affected tires may develop a separation at the tread/belt edge, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) Office of Defects Investigation. “Tread separation can result in tire failure and loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.” NHTSA says 1,495 tires are affected.
Hankook will notify owners and dealers will replace the tires, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in November 2013.
