Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) recently introduced ADM CA118, a new low-volatile organic compound (VOC) coalescent. According to the company, ADM CA118 coalescent is a bio-based ingredient that can replace traditional coalescing solvents and lower the overall paint VOC content. The new coalescent is manufactured for architectural and industrial water-based coatings, as well as printing inks, caulks and adhesives.
ADM CA118 can be used to wholly or partially replace VOC containing commercial coalescent. The new product joins the ADM Evolution Chemicals family of next-generation industrial chemicals, primarily derived from nature's renewable sources.
