SKIL Tools Is Celebrating The 75th Anniversary of "The Saw That Built America"

Rev up your Worm Drive SKILSAWs® because SKIL Tools is celebrating the 75th Anniversary of "The Saw That Built America" by partnering with Paul Teutul Jr., star of Discovery Channel's reality television program American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior. It all started in 1937 with the original SKILSAW Model 77. Designed for tradesmen who earned a living by using it to construct bridges, roads and buildings, the saw was engineered to be tough and dependable. As the Model 77 evolved, it became the industry standard and cornerstone of SKIL's reputation for quality and dependability. For the past 75 years, SKIL has continued its passion of being committed to innovation, performance and the American builder. "The Saw That Built America" remains an icon of ingenuity and leadership and can still be seen on practically every jobsite across the country. To commemorate this milestone anniversary, Paul Teutul Jr. of Paul Jr. Designs will build a custom-designed chopper motorcycle. Its unveiling will be at an exclusive event in Las Vegas on May 1, which coincides with the National Hardware Show week. In addition to the original custom chopper, Paul Jr. Designs will design and build a second SKILSAW motorcycle to be sold through eBay Motors during a 10-day auction in the fall. One-hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to The Home Depot Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure that every veteran has a safe place to call home.
