Global developer of water based packaging coatings and surface modifier additives Michelman is set to open new offices in Mumbai, India, in a bid to support the burgeoning Indian market.
Michelman president and CEO Steven Shifman said the company has seen significant growth in the market, especially in flexible packaging applications; water based additives for inks and overprint varnishes; as well as automotive, industrial and coil coatings.
"The addition of Indian-based offices gives us a stronger presence in the country, and allows us to help our customers and prospective customers develop their own stronger product portfolios so they can compete in an increasingly competitive landscape," Shifman said.
Michelman develops barrier and functional coatings for flexible film packaging, paperboard, and corrugated cartons; and water-based surface modifiers, additives and polymers for numerous industries.
