Miami Bay Beverage, the makers of trimino sugar-free protein-infused water, have signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Farrell Distributing of South Burlington and Rutland, Vermont.
Delicious trimino protein-infused water is powered by seven grams of high quality whey protein isolate and 100 percent of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of a vitamin B complex. It is light and refreshing with no sugar, no carbohydrates, no caffeine or lactose, and has only 28 calories per 16-oz. bottle.
Protein enhanced beverages, including trimino, help slow down the absorption of glucose into the bloodstream which helps to reduce hunger and make it easier for the body to burn fat, say company officials.
trimino will be offered in Vermont in four delicious fruit flavors: Peach, Mixed Berry, Strawberry Lemonade, and Coconut Pineapple.
It sells for a suggested retail price of $2.49 and is available in more than 500 locations in 10 states.
"Farrell has been in the non-alcoholic (N.A.) beverage business almost since our start and we are very selective in what we carry and who we partner with," said Ryan Chaffin, Farrell director of marketing.
"We're looking to build the delicious trimino brand statewide. As our first protein water, we believe it will be an excellent complement to Farrell's world-class portfolio."
Chaffin continues, "Vermonters care what they put in their system and will appreciate this alternative to sugary drinks."
Adds Miami Bay Beverage's CEO Peter Dacey, "We sought a professional organization to represent our brand in Vermont and selected Farrell. The brand was created to fill an opening in the functional beverage space by providing real benefits to the people who drink it."
Founded by Thomas A. Farrell and several of his brothers in 1933, Farrell is a third-generation Vermont family business of over 220 employees with a strong commitment to serving its customers, its employees and the community. It delivers the highest quality beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages to a diverse group of retailers throughout the state.
Elsewhere in New England, Miami Bay Beverage has signed with Bozzuto's, Inc., Cheshire, Conn., the largest food wholesaler in the northeast bringing trimino to Big Y's throughout New England, IGA Supermarkets, and Roche Brothers in Massachusetts.
Also in the region, the brand is carried by Dichello Distributors, based in Orange, Conn., serving Fairfield County, New Haven, and Middlesex counties. Dichello is opening new accounts including Shoprite.
