Vegware, a foodservice packaging provider, has expanded its product range with the introduction of a new Tasting Notes collection for street food packaging.
The new compostable plastic-free eco range includes neutral-toned coffee cups, and vivid hot and cold food containers, chip scoop, carrier bag and greaseproof.
Made out of renewable or recycled materials, the packs under the Tasting Notes range come with bright colors and word clouds that are tailored to each product, the company said.
Vegware sales director Teresa Suter said: "We see vivid colour everywhere right now - on the high street and in the vibrancy of street food. Plus, even grab and go food needs a great provenance story to attract discerning consumers.
"Sommeliers write 'tasting notes' describing wine flavours - so we designed colourful word clouds describing artisan food to go. We've had huge initial interest in this collection from independents and contract caterers alike, keen to get on this trend and compete with the high street."
The launch marks the company's continued growth into the mainstream packaging market.
Vegware has operational bases in the UK, the US, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, UAE and Hong Kong, with distribution throughout Europe and North America.
The company's share in the total catering disposables market accounts to around 2.5%.
In 2012, Vegware launched a compostable sugar sticks, which can be can be recycled after use either with dry paper/composted with food waste.
