UK-based Domino has extended its continuous ink jet (CIJ) black inks range with the launch of three new inks, 2BK026, 2BK030 and 2BK028, for CIJ A-Series printers.
According to the company, the new inks have been developed specifically to cater to the needs of various industries ranging from food to aerospace.
The 2BK026 black ink has been developed for the A420i and is targeted primarily at the food sector where a heat seal application is required.
This new ink, which is said to provide better adhesive properties to a range of substrates, is resistant to heat and pressure that make it suitable for use on surfaces where heat sealing is applied post coding including sachets and dry food packaging.
The 2BK030, which has a high resistance to fats, edible oils, as well as heat and retor, is also a fast dry black ink designed specifically for food applications.
Domino's 2BK028 is a fast dry black ink designed for the aerospace industry. This ink is Boeing approved and is adopted for coded aircraft components that require proof of identity and traceability.
Domino CIJ product manager Nick Plaister said, "We are constantly monitoring the demands of all the industries we operate in and for that reason we are confident the response to our new ink offering will be positive."
