FishPac Pty Ltd Has Released The Purpose-Built Stackpac Transport Bin

FishPac Pty Ltd, which is said to be a 100% Australian-owned business and supplier of the world’s only IATA-approved oxygen transport system for live aquatic animals, has released the purpose-built StackPac transport bin.

StackPac completes the FishPac system with bins, regulators, approvals, training and assistance in how to set-up their operations for use.

FishPac managing director John Curtain said: “Offering a complete live fish transport system is the feather in our cap. It takes FishPac from being a premier equipment supplier to a premier systems supplier.”

In 2011-12, Australia exported 930 tonnes of live fish with a value of over AUD $31 million.

Operations manager Gavin Hodgins said: “The opportunities for new species shipment really excite us. StackPac now allows almost any species at all lifecycle stages to be transported, which will open doors into new markets.”

“Not having our own bin design always grated us. StackPac now transforms what we saw as our weak spot and we couldn’t be happier with the result. We’re also proud that StackPac is designed, moulded, manufactured and assembled in Melbourne,” said Gavin Hodgins.

StackPac trials are underway in Germany and shipments have already begun to the UAE. Approvals to consign have already been received from Australia, USA, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, Korea, United Arab Emirates, Spain, Germany, and Iceland.
