The deal is part of Huhtamaki's strategy to expand its product offering in Europe. BCP is based in Blackburn and specialises in corrugated packaging. The company serves the cosmetics, foodservice and confectionery markets.
"I am extremely pleased to have BCP join the Huhtamaki Group," said Brian Jones, chairman of BCP. "BCP has achieved great success and growth in the last 10 years and Huhtamaki has both the desire and the resources to grow the BCP business even further."
The acquired business will be renamed Huhtamaki BCP and it will become part of Huhtamaki's Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania business segment.
