Direct General Implemented Guidewire ClaimCenter as Its New Platform

A direct provider of non-standard personal auto insurance, Direct General Insurance Group has selected and implemented Guidewire ClaimCenter as its new platform for claims management.

Direct General has teamed with Capgemini, a Guidewire PartnerConnect alliance member, to implement the solution which supports future growth and evolving business needs using modern technology.

Direct General chief information officer Jon Walters said, "ClaimCenter's 'out of the box' functionality and application architecture really appealed to us."

In a phased implementation approach, the Guidewire ClaimCenter platform has been deployed to manage claims across all of the insurer's offices in the Southeastern US.

The solution has improved First Notice of Loss (FNOL) and claim assignment processes for reduced claims cycle times and fast, efficient customer service as well as enhanced management visibility into claims status and performance metrics for Direct General.

The end-to-end claims management system, Guidewire ClaimCenter enables claims organizations to define, enforce, and continually refine preferred claim handling practices while optimizing and monitoring claim processes.
