According to data of the Japanese Ministry of Finance, the country’s exports of iron and steel products totaled 3.6 million tons in April, falling by 9.75% from a month ago but rising by 18.1% year on year.
In April, the country’s export revenues generated by iron and steel products amounted to ¥319 million, decreasing by 8.3% from a month earlier but increasing by 15.8% year on year.
Among them, the exports of iron and steel products made to the US totaled 213,000 tons, rising by 12.3%; those made to the EU were at 25,000 tons, increasing by 26.2%; those made to China were at 546,000 tons, up by 17.6%, all compared to the same month of 2012.
