Czech Republic-based automobile manufacturer ?KODA has unveiled the new concept rally car, ?KODA Yeti Xtreme, which is based on the popular compact SUV.
The new compact SUV-based vehicle will be premiered at the 2014 GTI event scheduled to be held at W?rthersee in Austria.
?KODA Yeti Xtreme will come with a 1.8L TSI engine paired to a six-speed dual clutch transmission (DSG) to deliver an output of 112kW and a maximum torque of 250Nm.
The concept rally car is said to accelerate from 0-100kmph in 9secs, while achieving a top speed of 192kmph.
?KODA Sales and Marketing Board member Werner Eichhorn said the company wants to continue the positive development and to grow further with new models over the coming years.
"?KODA Yeti Xtreme - as a dynamic and powerful compact SUV concept - demonstrates the brand's strong expertise in four-wheel drive technology, as well as our know-how when it comes to rally sports," Eichhorn added.
Yeti Xtreme features special Octavia RS brakes and combines the power of an all-wheel drive SUV with design elements along with equipment features of a rally car.
The vehicle sports 17in alloy wheels with large off-road tyres, tinted side windows, roof and wheel rim inserts in bright yellow-green, a large air intake and LED headlights.
Other features of the ?KODA Yeti Xtreme include shaped wings, two wide exhaust tailpipes, boot with a spare wheel, and special traction mats called recovery tracks, which can be pushed under the wheels.
Interiors of the vehicle include equipment required for rally use, four individual Recaro sports seats with integrated four-point safety belts and a Super Sport steering wheel with integrated gearshift paddles.
