China Will Launch a New Round of Investigation Lasting for Three Months to Attack Bribery

Reports from Xinhua News Agency said that China will launch a new round of investigation lasting for three months to attack bribery in pharmaceutical and medical treatment fields.

The investigation will be led by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC), targeting bribery, fraud and anti-competition behaviors.

The Chinese government will prevent bribery from existing in bidding invitation for drug and medical treatment service, which harmed interests of Chinese people.

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has launched investigation into 60 pharmaceutical companies at home and abroad for drug pricing. The investigation is still undergoing.

Chinese police has accused English pharmaceutical multinational GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE: GSK) of bribery committed by some of its Chinese top executives.
