Turkey Exported Brebar Including Round Bar in February,Rising by 19.4% Month on Month

Turkey exported 660,466 tons of rebar including round bar in February, rising by 19.4% month on month but falling by 19% year on year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the country's export revenues generated by rebar totaled US$393 million in February, increasing by 20.8% from a month ago but decreasing by 24.6% year on year. In February, the country's rebar exports to the EU totaled 21,893 tons, slumping by 64.5%; those to North America were at 61,843 tons, soaring by almost triple; those to the Middle East were at 335,150 tons, rising by 12.4%, all compared to those in a month ago. In the first two months of this year, Turkey's rebar exports totaled 1.2 million tons, decreasing by 16.5% year on year. In the given period of time, the country's rebar export revenues amounted to US$713 million, falling by 22.5% year on year.
