Holland's Pies, a UK-based producer of pies, puddings and pastries, is set to introduce a new range of microwavable frozen snacks, the pre-baked microwavable Steak Slice and Sausage Roll.
The new products will be available at Tesco stores across the country this month for £1 each and new flavors will be added to the range later in the year.
Featuring unique packaging that allows the pastry to crisp as it cooks, the microwavable pack will also include a tear strip in the middle, allowing to eat the product out of pack.
Holland's spokesperson David Girdler said, "A first for Holland's and a first for the frozen retail market. We believe in developing a product range, which will bring the greatest convenience to our customers, and that is exactly what we have done with the new microwavable range. This pre-baked range gives customers a completely new quick and easy way to snack on the go."
Holland's Pies, which is a part of 2 Sister's Food, is a manufacturer of pies and puddings as well as pasties, sausage rolls and pork pies. It employs over 300 people at its Lancashire facility.
The company's products are available at retail outlets including fish and chip shops, leading supermarkets; offering frozen, chilled and hot food-to-go and football stadiums.
