Bedding producer Dormeo Octaspring has restructured its North American operations by creating a separate business unit and naming Jon Stowe as CEO of the new unit.

Stowe, who joined the company last year as chief operating officer, will now report to Sandi Cesko, global CEO.
The company said Chris Henning, the president of North American retail sales who helped launch the brand in North America in 2012, will leave the company to pursue other professional interests.
"As North American operations of our company grow, we have a sharper retail and consumer strategy that requires a different structure in this market," said Stowe, noting the company recently began manufacturing the Octaspring brand in the U.S. "We also passed an important milestone of 24 key retailers across North America, giving us a true footprint across the U.S. and Canadian markets. This presents new opportunities that also require a different approach to servicing business here."
Previously, the U.S. operations reported to the U.K. division of the European company.
"We are grateful to Chris for the many contributions he made to help build our organization over the past few years," said Stowe. "He assembled a wonderful team of professionals, helped build our manufacturing platform and opened key accounts that serve as the basis for a strong business today."
As part of the reorganization, the company announced several other promotions. Chad Megard, who was vice president of sales in the central region, is now executive vice president of sales, while Michael Carter, who was director of manufacturing, is now vice president of operations.
In addition, Morgan Baker, who was the head of key Canadian accounts, has been promoted to vice president and general manager of Dormeo Canada.
The company said Chief Marketing Officer Dany Sfeir and Chief Financial Officer Jason Broyles will report to Stowe.
