A heavy storm, like a tornado has devastated Ilva Steel Mill in Taranto,
As per unconfirmed reports, one worker is missing and other 38 have been injured.
ANSA reported that rescue divers have stopped searching for a 29 year old employee who fell into the company harbor
There are serious damages mainly to port infrastructures as well as a fire was going on inside the mill. Preliminary reports say that port equipments have been heavily damaged, together with raw material transport means like conveyor belts etc. Damage has also been reported in coke ovens BF and Converters.
The troubled ILVA plant is at the center of a legal-political dispute which could lead to its permanent closing.
