At present, Baoste's product cutting, processing & distribution has firstly exported to north Africa region. Till now, Baosteel has massively supplied 800t to Egypt users, which means Baosteel's cutting & processing products have entered north Africa market. This is a good practice of Baosteel to actively build up user-centered corporation operation mechanism, as well as an effective exploration to provide value added services for overseas clients.

With the intensified competition of down-stream sectors, overseas clients not only attach higher demand on product quality and price, but also propose new request on way of supply. In the past, overseas clients usually imports Baosteel's parent coil, and locally find cutting & processing center before application. Restricted by local economic and environmental conditions, one Egypt client has no self-owned cutting line, and needs to entrust local cutting & processing center for further services, however, the their operation quality and services could not meet client's need, causing a lot of troubles in processing quality objection handling and complicated two-stage procurement. In order to effectively solve this problem, accelerate expanding the international market and enhancing overseas marketing ability, from the beginning of this year, Baosteel sheet sales department, Baosteel International Shanghai Bao-mit and Baosteel Europe work jointly, make good use of current cutting & processing capacity in China, imitate existing service mode, provide a package solution of material cutting service for this client.

Since it is the first time for Baosteel to export to north Africa market, the original operation procedure couldn't apply. Baosteel has internally communicated for many times to set up new procedure of cutting export so as to meet the need of our clients. As the main body of cutting export, Shanghai Bao-mit has also set up export project team, coping with a serial of new issues as CCPIT certification, fumigation certification, custom claiming, logistic arrangement, etc. In short time. Under the joint effort, first lot of 65t cutting material export procedure has been successfully completed in this Feb. The internal synergy and quick response not only raise the high precision demand of export business, but also shorten the procurement process for our client, help them solve the problem, and earn highly evaluation of overseas clients. New service mode of cutting material has demonstrated Baosteel's transformation from steel supplier to service supplier, not only strengthen the relations with our clients, but also enhance the influence on market and overseas end users. The applicability of overseas cutting supply mode could also drive the similar requests from other overseas clients, so as to practically, quickly expand the sale volume, extend product variety, laying solid ground for establishment of overseas cutting & processing center in future.

It is said that in the first half of this year, the Egypt client has visit Baosteel twice. After visiting Shanghai Bao-mit factory, they are satisfied with site equipment, management and product, and express the willingness to use Baosteel's product for the long run.
