The Jury Evaluates The Care of Forests & Good Environmental Practices in Water Management

LED by the World Wildlife Fund, BIBO's objective is to grant public recognition to companies that demonstrate the best environmental practices related to water, reforestation and resource management in Colombia.

The jury evaluates the care of forests and good environmental practices in water management, conservation of species and contribution to carbon capture.

Smurfit Kappa′s forestry project begun in Colombia in 1969 to supply the raw materials required to manufacture board, paper and packaging.

Today it's total forestry patrimony is made up of 69,300 hectares of which 21,500 are natural forests that are protected, studied and preserved.
