French carmaker Renault has partnered with PT Indomobil Sukses International to introduce its cars into Indonesian markets.
As part of a collaboration agreement, Renault will first introduce Duster that will be assembled locally by Indomobil and followed by Koleos SUV and the Megane RS.
Duster will be equipped with 1.5 dCi engine, which is a benchmark in its category for performance and fuel efficiency.
Starting in 2015, Renault will launch tailor-made products for localized assembly that will cover the Indonesian market. At the same time, Indomobil will establish a network by opening 45 showrooms by 2016 and increasing thereafter.
Indomobil has also helped Nissan to attain a market share of 6% to 67,000 units at the end of 2012.
