The Preston-based business has taken on 10 new staff and has cemented its position in the alcohol filling market following the commissioning of the new line.
The investment, which was completed at the start of 2012, has helped the business expand from its traditional product lines that include talcum powder, bath salts, shampoos and lotion-based liquids.
Expac's new bottling line, however, has enabled it to expand into the fine fragrances and eau de toilette (EDT) markets.
The new facility was part of a £1m relocation that took place during the second half of 2011 and has led to the appointment of 10 new factory staff as well as two apprentices and project manager David Meredith.
It has also helped turnover grow by a third to in excess of £5m during 2012.
Meredith said: "This is a key new investment for Expac as not only does it enable us to move into a new market sector but it also strengthens our exporting potential by offering a wider range of products."
"With the facility in place, Expac will now look to secure further business for this production facility, with the long term goal to invest further time and resources into export markets."
The new alcohol filling facility covers 150m2 and has the capability to produce up to 15,000 units of 100ml products every day.
Equipment at the facility includes two 500-litre mixing vessels, two 500-litre holding vessels, an eight-tonne storage tank as well as extraction throughout the facility.
