According to statistics released by the International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF), the global stainless steel production reached 8.3 million tons in the third quarter of this year, hitting the new history highs. In the third quarter of this year, the stainless steel output from Asia, excluding China totaled 6.6 million tons, down slightly by 0.2% year on year. In the first quarter of this year, the global stainless steel production amounted to 26.10 million tons, rising by 2.9% year on year. In the given period of time, China's stainless steel output surged by 11.4% to 11.40 million tons, accounting for 42% of the global total production.
