It is reported that German raw steel production in 2012 was down by 3.7%year on year to 42.7 million tons.However,the indicators are showing that the industry production is stabilizing.
According to Industry Group Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl,the steel production in last December increased by 1.4%to 3.06 million tons,besides,production in the fourth quarter also increased after four consecutive quarters of contraction which are signals at the decline in production could be coming to the end.
Therefore,Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl confirmed its stable outlook of German steel sector in 2013 and said it is likely a slight increase to 43 million tons.
