THE Australian share market opened marginally higher with gains in the financial sector offsetting falls by mining companies.
At 10.15am AEDT the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 2.7 points, or 0.06 per cent, at 4585.5, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 2.1 points, or 0.05 per cent, at 4595.
On the ASX 24, the December share price index futures contract was up two points at 4595, with 8459 contracts traded.
