According to data released by China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC), the average steel prices in China increased by 0.3% from a week ago in the period of August 12 through August 18th. In the given period of time, the average prices of minerals in China rose by 3.5% week on week. In particular, the average prices of iron ore, lead ore, zinc ore and copper ore increased by 4%, 2.5%, 2.5% and 0.5% respectively, all compared to the figures in a week ago.
